Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our growing team in Akron. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our company's databases. You will also work closely with our development teams to ensure proper planning and implementation of database changes.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure database security and data privacy compliance
- Collaborate with development teams on database design, implementation and optimization
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches and upgrades
- Create documentation for database policies, procedures and standards

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills

Salary: $1600 per month
