Junior Database Administrator (Fonvieille, Monaco)

We are hiring a Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Fonvieille, Monaco. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, reliability and performance. As a Junior DBA, you will work under the guidance of senior DBAs and gain hands-on experience in database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and upgrade database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design and performance
- Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches
- Create and maintain documentation on database processes, procedures and standards
- Provide technical support to end users as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of SQL language and relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling
- Understanding of backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with biometric passport systems or other sensitive data is a plus
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) is an asset

Salary: 1000$ monthly, negotiable based on qualifications.
