Executive Chef - Filipino Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Vianden. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our resort, specifically focusing on Filipino cuisine. You will be expected to create innovative and authentic dishes that showcase the flavors and techniques of Filipino cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and create recipes for all food outlets in the resort, with a focus on Filipino cuisine
- Oversee and manage all aspects of food preparation, including sourcing ingredients, cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and efficient service
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed dinners featuring Filipino cuisine
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu planning
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Extensive knowledge of Filipino cuisine and cooking techniques is essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with kitchen staff, management, suppliers, and guests
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Attention to detail in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
This is a temporary position for 6 months with the possibility of extension. No previous experience is required but candidates must have a passion for Filipino cuisine. This job is open to all nationalities.
