Librarian vacancy in Wiltz Luxembourg

Librarian (Kenyans preferred)


We are hiring a skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team at a library in Wiltz. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials, as well as assisting visitors in finding and accessing information. This position is open to Kenyan nationals who have experience working in a library setting.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Create and update catalogues and databases to keep track of the library's inventory
- Assist visitors in finding and accessing information
- Provide guidance on research methods and resources available at the library
- Plan and coordinate events such as book clubs, storytime sessions, or workshops
- Train new staff members on library procedures and systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloguing systems and databases
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English (knowledge of additional languages is an asset)
- Preference will be given to Kenyan nationals

Salary:
Salary for this position is 900$ per month.
