Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our company's databases. Your role will involve ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will also work closely with our development team to design and implement new databases, and provide support for database-related projects.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database issues in a timely manner.
- Plan and implement regular backups, disaster recovery procedures, and security measures to protect our data.
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new databases based on business needs.
- Create and maintain documentation of all database processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support for database-related projects, including data migrations or upgrades.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in database technology.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) and SQL.
- Experience with data backup, recovery, security protocols, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with software development processes and best practices for database design.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Location: Faisalabad

Salary: $1400 per month
