Job Title: Crane Operator

As a Crane Operator in Faro, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes on construction sites and other job sites. Your main duty will be to safely lift, move, and position heavy materials, equipment, and machinery using the crane. You will work closely with the construction team to ensure that all lifting operations are carried out efficiently and without any incidents. Safety will be your top priority at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes according to specific job site requirements
- Inspect the crane before and after use to ensure it is in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating the crane
- Communicate effectively with the construction team to coordinate lifting operations
- Use hand signals or radio communication to direct the movement of materials
- Rig loads properly and attach them securely to the crane before lifting
- Monitor weather conditions that may affect lifting operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the crane
- Report any issues or malfunctions with the crane immediately

Requirements:
- Valid certification for operating cranes (e.g. CCO or NCCCO)
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to crane operation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime as required
