Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
As a Pastry Chef for our Indian restaurant in Hawalli, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts and pastries that reflect the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine. Your main goal will be to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable dining experience by presenting them with delicious and visually appealing desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide range of desserts and pastries, including traditional Indian sweets, cakes, tarts, and more.
- Develop new recipes while also maintaining the quality and consistency of existing ones.
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and in accordance with our restaurant's standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate the timing of dessert orders with main courses.
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs to ensure they follow proper techniques and adhere to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with current food trends and incorporate them into menu offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in an Indian restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Indian desserts and pastries, as well as traditional cooking techniques.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique recipes.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of desserts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to effectively work with kitchen staff.
Salary: 1100$ per month
