Pastry Chef
A high-end restaurant in Faro, Portugal is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for baking and creating delicious desserts, as well as a creative flair and attention to detail. This role requires someone who can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create a variety of dessert items for the restaurant menu
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Oversee the dessert station during service, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of orders
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen assistants
- Ensure all desserts meet quality standards and are visually appealing
- Develop new dessert recipes with unique flavors and presentations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry making/baking
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Creativity and attention to detail for creating visually appealing desserts
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines for orders during service hours
Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Faro, Portugal (willingness to relocate preferred)
