Mason - Contract Position (English Speaking)

We are currently hiring a skilled Mason for a contract position in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, stone or other similar materials. Your main duties will include mixing and applying mortar, shaping and cutting bricks or stones, and aligning them properly to create walls, floors or other structures.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience working as a Mason and be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. You must also have strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

In addition, we are looking for candidates who are fluent in English and have experience working with biometric passports. This is a contract position with an initial duration of 6 months, but there is potential for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine layout and dimensions
- Prepare structure by laying out patterns or foundations according to specifications
- Mix mortar or grout using cement, sand, water or lime
- Spread mortar evenly over the base or foundation using trowels or similar tools
- Align bricks or stones according to design plans
- Cut bricks or stones using hammers or chisels
- Monitor the drying process of mortar to ensure proper adhesion
- Repair any damaged structures using appropriate materials and techniques
- Perform quality checks on finished structures to ensure they meet safety standards

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Mason
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with biometric passports preferred

Salary:
Starting salary of $1400 per month
