Cashier for a Busy Retail Store in Sheduva, Kenya
We are hiring a cashier for our busy retail store in Sheduva, Kenya. As a cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions and providing excellent customer service. This is a contract position with a salary of 900$. English proficiency is not required, but fluency in Swahili would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers and provide friendly and helpful service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout area
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Keep accurate records of transactions and daily sales
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves when needed
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in Swahili (English proficiency is not required)
- Friendly demeanor with the ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
