Baker for Indian Cuisine in Malindi
We are seeking an experienced Baker for our Indian restaurant in Malindi. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating delicious and authentic Indian cuisine, as well as strong baking skills. As the Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of Indian breads, pastries, and desserts to be served at our restaurant. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory and ensuring all baked goods meet our quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, good time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of Indian breads, pastries, and desserts according to traditional recipes
- Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards and are visually appealing
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new baked goods offerings
- Clean and maintain baking equipment and work area
- Follow food safety guidelines at all times
- Train new bakery staff members as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Baker in an Indian restaurant or bakery setting
- Excellent knowledge of Indian cuisine and traditional baking techniques
- Ability to read recipes accurately and measure ingredients precisely
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely preparation of baked goods
- Attention to detail for decorating pastries and desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Food safety certification preferred but not required
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
