Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team in Braga, Portugal. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing balance sheets and P&L statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, and payroll
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Prepare budget forecasts and track variances
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Participate in budgeting and financial analysis activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall financial performance

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
