Head Chef
As a Head Chef at our renowned restaurant in Alta, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. Your creative flair and strong leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for exceptional cuisine. You will manage a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and create new dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Oversee food purchasing and inventory management
- Monitor food quality and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for cost control and profitability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent training/certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to create innovative menus while also maintaining classic dishes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this full-time position.
Location:
Our restaurant is located in beautiful Alta, known for its stunning scenery, outdoor activities, and vibrant culinary scene. This position is open to all nationalities; however, candidates must have legal authorization to work in Norway.
