Shaper for Surfboard Manufacturing Company in Malindi, Kenya

Our surfboard manufacturing company in Malindi, Kenya is seeking a skilled and experienced Shaper to join our team. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and designing high-quality surfboards according to customer specifications. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for growth and development within the company.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize shaping tools and techniques to create custom surfboards
- Read and interpret customer specifications to accurately shape boards
- Ensure all boards meet quality standards and are ready for final sanding and finishing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other team members to complete production goals
- Continuously improve upon shaping techniques and processes

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shaper in the surf industry
- Strong understanding of shaping tools, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications accurately
- Attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, lift up to 50lbs, and perform repetitive motions

Preferred:
- Knowledge or experience with CAD software for surfboard design
- Passion for surfing or experience in the surfing industry

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Malindi, Kenya (accommodation not provided)
Visa: Free visa provided by the company
Ticket: Company will provide one roundtrip ticket per year for employee's home country.
