Machine Learning Engineer

As a Machine Learning Engineer in our dynamic and fast-paced team in Almada, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining innovative machine learning algorithms and models. Your main focus will be on creating solutions that improve our products and services through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop appropriate solutions
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning
- Explore new data sources and apply data mining techniques to uncover valuable insights
- Ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency of machine learning systems
- Continuously evaluate the performance of existing models and make necessary improvements
- Communicate findings and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in machine learning or data science role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or Java
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, algorithms and data structures
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
