Instrument Technician - Nakuru, Kenya
Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Nakuru. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial processes. This includes calibrating instruments, installing new equipment, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure accurate readings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on various instruments including pressure gauges, flow meters, thermometers, and level sensors
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments using appropriate tools and techniques
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings
- Install new instruments as needed and test for proper functionality
- Keep detailed records of maintenance performed and any issues encountered
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex problems
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in instrumentation technology
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation or related field
- Prior experience as an Instrument Technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of various types of instruments used in industrial processes
- Familiarity with calibration procedures and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
