A reputable company in Lisbon is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to maintain and manage their database systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database structure, data analysis and management, and be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. The job requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring database performance, ensuring data security, and implementing backup and recovery processes. This is a contract position with the added benefit of free visa and ticket provided by the company. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary: $1500 per month

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance to ensure efficiency and reliability
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform necessary maintenance tasks
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement new database systems as needed
- Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies
- Develop procedures for data management including data backup, archiving, and purging
- Train users on proper data entry techniques and provide technical support when needed
- Stay updated on industry developments in database technology
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding projects and deadlines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database languages such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.
- Experience with database design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with data security protocols including backups, disaster recovery plans etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Location: Lisbon (willingness to relocate preferred)

Employment Type: Contract (with possibility of extension)

Working hours: 40 hours per week (flexible)
