Pastry Chef (Indian Cuisine)
We are seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Chef with a passion for Indian cuisine to join our team in Ar Rumaythiyah. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing traditional Indian desserts and baked goods, as well as developing new and innovative recipes. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure high quality and consistency in all of our pastry offerings.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian desserts and baked goods, including regional variations
- Creative flair and ability to develop unique pastry recipes
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills in English
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare traditional Indian desserts, such as gulab jamun, ras malai, and jalebi
- Develop new pastry recipes that showcase the flavors of Indian cuisine
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure high quality and consistency in all pastry offerings
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs on techniques and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and place orders when necessary
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.
