A prestigious architecture firm in Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to strict preservation guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on the history and significance of historic buildings
- Creating preservation plans and designs for restoration projects
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of restored buildings
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Maintaining detailed documentation of all preservation work
- Educating clients and the public on the value of preserving historic structures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Extensive knowledge of preservation guidelines and regulations, including those set by the National Park Service and state agencies
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods for historic buildings
- Excellent research, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be willing to relocate to Los Angeles if not already based in the area
