Junior Android Developer
City: Porto, Portugal
As a Junior Android Developer, you will work on developing and maintaining mobile applications on the Android platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize app performance. Your responsibilities will include coding, testing, debugging, and documenting code according to company standards. You must be familiar with Java and have a strong understanding of Android SDK and development tools. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. This is a great opportunity for a fresh graduate or someone with limited experience in the field to gain hands-on experience in developing mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Fix bugs and improve application performance
- Write clean, efficient code using Java programming language
- Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Collaborate with UX designers to implement appealing user interfaces
- Document code consistently throughout the development process
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven working experience in software development (experience in Android development is a plus)
- Proficient in Java programming language
- Strong understanding of Android SDK and development tools
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Familiarity with Git version control system
- Ability to write clean, well-designed code
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Salary: 1100$ per month
