Crane Operator - Funchal, Madeira


We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Funchal, Madeira. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes to lift, move and position heavy loads in construction sites or industrial settings.

Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to lift, move and place materials and equipment according to safety standards and job requirements
- Perform pre-operational checks on cranes before use
- Communicate with site supervisors and signalers to ensure safe operation of the crane
- Monitor crane operations and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect rigging equipment regularly for any damages or wear and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities such as number of lifts, loads moved, fuel usage, etc.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a crane operator in construction or industrial settings
- Valid crane operator's license/certification
- Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to crane operations
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physical strength and stamina to operate cranes for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions

Salary: $900/month (with accommodation)
