Administrative Assistant for Bungoma City Government
The Bungoma City Government is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide support to our city government by handling a variety of administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors to the office, answering phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate records and files, including confidential information, both electronically and in physical form
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
- Schedule appointments and meetings for city officials
- Coordinate travel arrangements for city officials as required
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring expenses
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Prior experience working in a government setting
Salary: $1500 per month
Location: Bungoma City (Kenya)
