Merchandising Manager



As a Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising operations for our retail stores in Bergen, Norway. Your role will involve creating and implementing strategies to maximize sales and profitability through effective product placement, inventory management, and visual merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and achieve financial targets
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions on product assortment and display
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory
- Collaborate with the buying team to plan and execute product launches and promotions
- Train and supervise merchandising staff in maintaining store visual standards
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure adherence to visual merchandising guidelines
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and maintain strong relationships
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotions to stay ahead in the market

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail merchandising management
- Extensive knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead a team effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Merchandiser or Visual Merchandiser
- Knowledge of Norwegian retail market
- Fluency in Norwegian
