Heavy Equipment Operator
A heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes. They are typically employed in the construction industry and are responsible for moving large amounts of earth, debris, or other materials. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment and possess a valid CDL license. They should also have a strong understanding of safety procedures and be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Read and interpret construction plans to determine the best approach for completing tasks
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to identify any potential issues
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including hours worked, materials moved, and maintenance performed
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work in all types of weather conditions
Salary: $1700 per month
