Part-Time Librarian in Bergen



We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Librarian to join our team in Bergen. As a Part-Time Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with research, managing the library's collection, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources, including books, journals, and online databases
- Conduct research and provide reference services to library users
- Maintain the organization of the library's collection through cataloging and shelving materials
- Plan and conduct educational programs for library users of all ages
- Provide support for technology services such as computer access and printing
- Assist with the development of library policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other librarians to continuously improve library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference resources, and information literacy principles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using technology for research purposes

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month. The schedule may include evenings and weekends. Accommodation is not provided, but we can assist with finding suitable housing options. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
