Collector - Debt Recovery Specialist (Malayalee Candidates Preferred)

A reputable financial institution in Zagreb is seeking a skilled Collector to join our team. As a Debt Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for recovering outstanding debts from customers, developing strategies to minimize losses, and maintaining accurate records of all collections activities. This role requires fluency in English and preference will be given to candidates of Malayalee descent.

Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers via phone, email or letter to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiating payment plans with customers in order to recover debts
- Working with legal teams when necessary to escalate delinquent accounts
- Maintaining accurate records of all collections activities
- Developing and implementing strategies to minimize losses and increase efficiency in debt recovery processes
- Providing regular reports on collections progress to management

Requirements:
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Previous experience as a collector or debt recovery specialist preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult conversations with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and achieving targets
