Carpenter (Urgent, Svalbard)



We are in need of a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Svalbard. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, steel, or other materials. Your main duties will include reading blueprints and drawings, measuring and cutting materials to fit specifications, and assembling components using hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience as a Carpenter and possess excellent carpentry skills. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical documents are also essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints and drawings to determine project requirements
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications
- Assemble structures using hand or power tools
- Install structures on-site or in a workshop setting
- Repair or replace damaged structures or fixtures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as architects and engineers
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Excellent carpentry skills including knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
- Physical strength and stamina to handle materials and operate heavy equipment if needed
- Good communication skills
- A valid driver's license is preferred

We offer competitive salary package of 1500$ per month without accommodation. This is an urgent position so immediate availability is preferred. Applicants who currently possess their own visa will be given priority.
