Civil Engineer - Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of civil engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Review drawings, specifications, and other documents for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor progress of construction projects and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget
- Conduct site visits to inspect work quality and address any issues that arise
- Communicate project updates to clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other applicable standards
- Provide technical guidance to construction workers as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear manner
- Proficient in computer software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working on construction projects in Lisbon or Portugal. The salary for this position is 1800$, with accommodation provided.
