Junior Database Administrator


As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of our company's databases in Vejle. Your primary duties will be to ensure the security, availability, and integrity of our databases. You will also help with database design, performance monitoring, data backup and recovery, and user access control.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for database management and a strong desire to learn. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in database administration who are looking to further their skills and grow in their career.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and management of our company's databases
- Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of the databases
- Help with database design and implementation
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Perform regular data backups and implement recovery procedures when necessary
- Manage user access control to ensure data privacy
- Troubleshoot any database issues that may arise
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL)
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures
- Knowledge of database design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python
- Understanding of cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS or Azure)

Salary: $900/month (negotiable based on experience)
