Head Pastry Chef
The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry production in our high-end restaurant located in Jerusalem. This role requires a highly skilled and creative individual with a passion for creating unique and delectable desserts. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team, as well as strong communication skills to work collaboratively with other departments. As our Head Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to the growth and success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert items that align with our restaurant's concept and standards
- Oversee all aspects of pastry production, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment
- Train and mentor pastry team members to ensure consistent quality and presentation of desserts
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan menus and incorporate seasonal ingredients into dessert offerings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of pastry items
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the pastry kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while also working collaboratively with other departments
- Creative flair for developing new dessert items that are visually appealing and delicious
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail for precise execution of recipes and plating presentations
Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Jerusalem (open to candidates from Canada or other foreign countries)
Language Requirement: Fluent in English (Hebrew is an asset)
