Information Security Analyst
We are hiring an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in Braga. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of company data and systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and implementing security measures to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles and practices, as well as experience with risk assessment and compliance regulations. As an Information Security Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security protocols and procedures, conduct security audits, and provide training on best practices for data protection. This position requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments of company systems and networks to identify potential risks or vulnerabilities
- Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks through the implementation of security controls
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into system designs
- Monitor systems for breaches or suspicious activity
- Investigate incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
- Stay informed about emerging threats and industry best practices in information security
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Provide training and education on information security best practices to employees
- Participate in incident response planning and testing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or a similar role
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
This is a full-time position based in Braga. Salary is 1700$ per month.
Note: This position is open to candidates of any nationality, but preference will be given to those who already possess a valid visa to work in Portugal.
