Back-End Developer


As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the back-end of our company's web applications. This includes creating server-side logic, integrating front-end elements, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the applications. You will work closely with our front-end developers and UI/UX designers to implement their designs into functional features. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of web development concepts such as RESTful APIs, databases, server-side languages (e.g. Java, Python), and version control systems (e.g. Git). A degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. This position is based in the city of Herning in Denmark, with visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient server-side code for web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement data storage solutions using databases such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Ensure security and data protection are incorporated into all aspects of development
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in back-end development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Strong understanding of web development concepts such as RESTful APIs, databases, server-side languages (e.g. Java, Python), and version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB is a plus
- Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, CSS) is preferred but not required
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English (Danish language skills are a plus)
