Entry-Level Surveyor

As an Entry-Level Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys and measurements to determine property boundaries, topographic features, and other important information for construction and development projects in Funchal. This is a contract position suitable for those without previous experience in the field. We provide accommodation for our employees and welcome international applicants with valid work visas. Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up equipment such as tripods, levels, transits, and electronic measuring devices
- Take accurate measurements of land features such as distances, angles, elevations, and contours
- Record data using hand-held tablets or computers
- Utilize specialized software to analyze collected data
- Assist with preparing detailed reports and maps based on survey findings
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on job sites

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical fitness as this job requires walking long distances carrying heavy equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Positive attitude towards learning new skills
