CNC Operator



Our company is a leading manufacturing company located in Eldoret, Kenya. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines, with a strong understanding of programming and setting up CNC equipment. The role involves working with computer-controlled machinery to produce high-quality metal parts and components according to specifications. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, able to read technical drawings, and have good problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and cutting
- Study blueprints or technical drawings to understand specifications
- Select the appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Program the machine using computer-aided design (CAD) or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production process
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Strong understanding of programming languages used in CNC machines (G-code)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina for standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy materials if needed
