We are seeking a creative and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and creating delicious and innovative dishes for our customers. Your main goal will be to provide high-quality dining experiences while also managing food and labor costs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and meet the needs of our diverse customer base
- Train and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain stock levels within budget
- Implement food safety standards and ensure all kitchen staff adhere to them at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and address any customer concerns or special requests
- Manage food costs by controlling portion sizes, minimizing waste, and creating cost-effective menus
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu planning
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or certificate preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport required for international travel
