Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's databases. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our databases.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient database systems according to company requirements
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution
- Develop backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss in case of system failures
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and regularly performing security audits
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with applications
- Regularly update database documentation and provide training to users when necessary

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database design, SQL, and programming languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery solutions
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and tools (e.g. ETL)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Karachi, Pakistan
