Database Administrator (DBA)

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Braga. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our company's databases. You will also be involved in database design, data migration, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Your main goal will be to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our databases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database design and management principles
- Experience with database administration tools and languages such as SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for databases
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain company databases
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments for optimal efficiency
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the database system
- Conduct regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Identify areas for improvement in database processes
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application/database integration
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and backup/recovery procedures
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades
- Train users on how to utilize the database properly
