Contract Accountant in Faroe Islands

We are seeking a skilled Contract Accountant to join our team in Faroe Islands. As a Contract Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local tax laws and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting processes
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation for audits
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop financial strategies that align with company goals

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
