Contract Librarian in Faroe Islands

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team on a contract basis in Faroe Islands. As a contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's collection, providing reference and research services, and assisting with events and programming. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with community members and promote literacy and learning. This position comes with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials
- Assist patrons with reference and research inquiries
- Develop and implement programming for all ages
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, circulation, and statistics
- Collaborate with other staff members on special projects
- Promote literacy and lifelong learning to community members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference resources, and technology used in libraries
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Salary: 1700$ per month plus accommodation.

City: Faroe Islands
