Facade Technician
A facade technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing exterior building facades. This includes working on a variety of materials such as glass, metal, stone, and concrete to ensure that the building's exterior remains structurally sound and visually appealing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations, as well as experience with various tools and techniques used in facade installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Install new facades on buildings according to design specifications
- Maintain and repair existing facades to ensure structural integrity
- Troubleshoot any issues with facades and provide timely solutions
- Inspect buildings for potential facade issues and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to plan facade installations
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations at all times
- Utilize various tools and equipment such as scaffolding, cranes, drills, etc.
- Keep detailed records of all work completed on facades
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferably in a construction-related field)
- Proven experience working with building facades (or similar construction experience)
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Familiarity with tools used in facade installation and maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and follow design specifications
- Physically fit for working at heights and lifting heavy materials
- Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members
Location: Bergen (with occasional travel to other cities)
Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
