Contract Librarian in Herning, Denmark

As a Contract Librarian in Herning, Denmark, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials. You will also assist customers with research and reference inquiries, as well as help them navigate the library's resources. This is a contract position with a salary of 1700$ per month and includes accommodation. As an own visa job, you must have the necessary work authorization to be eligible for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and classify library materials according to established systems
- Assist customers with finding and accessing materials
- Provide research assistance and answer reference questions
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to promote library services
- Plan and conduct programs and events to engage the community in library resources
- Train and supervise support staff or volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Knowledge of library classification systems, information sources, and reference techniques
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
