Executive Chef for Luxury Resort in Salalah
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Salalah. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect the resort's concept and standards
- Oversee the daily operations of all kitchen areas, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and efficient service
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistency and meet guest expectations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and cater to guest requests
- Maintain budgetary guidelines by controlling costs without compromising quality
- Implement sustainable practices in the kitchen to minimize waste and reduce environmental impact
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of Malayalam would be an advantage)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety
- Must be willing to relocate to Salalah (accommodation will be provided)
