Database Administrator

A reputable company in Ashdod is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing and maintaining databases, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$. Candidates who are Indian nationals and have experience working with biometric passports will be given preference.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software and servers
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity
- Create database maintenance processes to optimize performance
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database structures for new applications
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulations
- Train users on how to access and utilize the database effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
- Experience with database design, documentation, and coding
- Knowledge of data security and backup procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with biometric passports is highly desirable
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate)
