Part-Time Metal Worker
Location: Alta, Norway


We are in need of a skilled and experienced Metal Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining metal structures and equipment. This includes cutting, shaping, and welding metal pieces according to blueprints or specifications. You will also be expected to troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise with metal structures or equipment.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and safety procedures. You should also have good hand-eye coordination and physical strength as this job requires working with heavy machinery and tools. Prior experience in metalworking is required.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications for metal structures
- Cut, shape, and weld metal pieces using various tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, drills, etc.
- Inspect finished products for quality control
- Troubleshoot issues with metal structures or equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working with heavy machinery

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in metalworking
- Knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.)
- Familiarity with different types of metals (steel, aluminum)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Strong physical stamina and dexterity
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position that requires working 20 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible depending on the needs of the company. The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises and fumes from welding materials. Protective gear will be provided.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month, with potential for growth based on performance.
