Chef de Cuisine
As an upscale restaurant in Los Angeles, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity, along with the ability to manage a busy kitchen and maintain high standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen
- Create new menu items and regularly update menu offerings
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Ensure ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing, and scheduling
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment
- Adhere to all health codes and regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in an upscale restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have current food handling certification
Salary: $1500 per month
Preferred Nationality: Indian
