Pastry Chef - Lisbon, Portugal

Our 5-star hotel is seeking a highly talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious desserts and pastries that will delight our guests. Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert and pastry menus based on seasonal ingredients
- Oversee the daily production of pastries and desserts for the hotel's restaurants, banquets, and room service
- Train and manage a team of pastry cooks to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create unique dessert offerings for special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a pastry chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- A degree in culinary arts or equivalent certification is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, dessert techniques, and flavor profiles
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
