Junior Glazier
A Junior Glazier is responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of glass windows, doors, and other structures. They work under the supervision of a senior glazier and may be employed by construction companies, glass installation companies, or independent contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in measuring and cutting glass to fit specific dimensions
- Help with the installation of glass windows, doors, and other structures
- Assist in repairing or replacing damaged glass
- Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning and removing old materials
- Use tools such as drills, saws, and grinders to cut and shape glass
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth completion of projects
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or as a glazier is preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in glazing
- Physically fit to lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Willingness to learn from experienced glaziers
Salary: Starting salary is $1200 per month. Salary may increase based on performance.
Location: This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate if necessary.
Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided for the first six months. After that period, candidates will have the option to find their own accommodation or continue living in provided housing at their own cost.
