Seasonal Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a seasonal restaurant in Porto. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a high-quality menu, managing kitchen operations, and overseeing the kitchen staff. Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to create innovative and seasonal menus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a high-quality menu that showcases seasonal ingredients
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and budgeting
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with management on menu development, cost control, and staffing decisions
Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Porto, Portugal (housing may be provided for out-of-town candidates)
Education: Culinary degree preferred but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
Note: This is a seasonal job with potential for permanent employment depending on performance. 12th pass candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
