Part-Time Computer Support Specialist


We are hiring a part-time Computer Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to our clients in Svalbard. As a specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new devices, and maintaining network systems. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in computer support and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities:
- Provide timely technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on computers and other devices
- Set up new computers, printers, and other devices as needed
- Install and configure software programs and operating systems
- Monitor network systems to ensure they are running smoothly
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve complex technical problems
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and solutions provided
- Continuously expand knowledge of new technologies and updates in the field

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in computer support or related field
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)
- Valid work permit or visa (if applicable)
