Pastry Chef - Alta, Canada



We are looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at our high-end restaurant in Alta, Canada. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delectable desserts and pastries that will delight our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of pastry techniques, creativity, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a fine dining establishment and be able to work well under pressure. Key Responsibilities:

- Create and prepare a variety of desserts and pastries according to menu specifications
- Develop new dessert recipes that are unique and visually appealing
- Ensure all pastries are made with high-quality ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
- Oversee inventory management for all pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry team members
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan menus and special events

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques including baking, decorating, and plating
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise junior staff members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education:

A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts is preferred but not required.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month.
